Bertrand Andries is an employee of SAP since 1997. He has occupied various positions within the development, sales and professional services organization of SAP.

photo Bertrand AndriesHe started as Product Manager for PFS (Process Flow Scheduler – SAP’s first scheduling tool for the process industries) within the development organization. In 1998 he joined the BeLux services organization and became one of the first SCM consultants specialized in APO (Advanced Planner and Optimizer) and participated to the first implementations both in BeLux and abroad (US, Spain, France and Portugal). In 2000 Bertrand moved to sales – as Solution Architect - to help in bringing SAP’s new SCM solutions to the BeLux market.

In parallel he became Team Lead of the SCM team. After a short period as Services Account Manager, Bertrand became Consulting People Manager (100 consultants) in BeLux in 2004. Since September 2006, Bertrand is Field Services Director. In this position he was managing the Line of Business Consulting and Education in BeLux. The team consists of 130 people selling and delivering consulting and education services. Since April 2012 Bertrand holds the position of Managing Director at SAP BeLux.

Bertrand holds a Ph.D. in applied sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for research in “Lead Time Reduction and Control in Extended Supply Chains”. Bertrand has a proven track record in Business Planning and Development, P&L Management, Delivery Management and People Management. He can create and maintain C-Level relations. His core strengths are his analytical abilities, result orientation, strategic and innovative abilities and people focus. He is recognized both internally and externally for his abilities to deliver on time and promise.

6th International Conference on Research and Practical Issues of Enterprise Information Systems

logo IFIPThe CONFENIS 2012 Conference is a joint effort of the Economic Council for East Flanders, the Ghent University and the IFIP TC8 Working Group 8.9 on Enterprise Information Systems.

The sixth International Conference on Research and Practical Issues of Enterprise Information Systems, CONFENIS 2012, will be held in Ghent, Belgium, September 19-21, 2012. CONFENIS, The Enterprise Information Systems International Conference on Research and Practical Issues of EIS, is a primary international event of the IFIP TC8 Working Group 8.9. This event provides an opportunity for academicians and practitioners throughout the world to gather, exchange ideas, and present original research in the field of enterprise information systems. Scientists and professionals are invited to address the current research topics in the area or the research frontier at this unique international forum.
Accepted papers will be published as full or short papers in a Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP) volume by Springer. Chairman of the conference is prof. dr. Geert Poels, Professor in the rank of Senior lecturer, Department of Management Information and Operations Management, Ghent University.
